Unusual Gathering

For our February outing, Ms Chan had to leave early for elsewhere. Only Ah Peng and I were left after our Lo Hei session.

I have never done window shopping at the high end boutiques in the likes of LV, Gucci, etc, before. They were obviously way beyond my league. This was the first time since both Ah Peng and Ms Chan were contemplating investing in a long-lasting working bag, so we have decided to pop into the boutiques for some 'advanced' marketing research.

Since it was the new year, we have decided to try something different by being more cultured. It was the first for Ah Peng, but the second time for me to step into Opera Gallery to admire the art works. Despite us being novices, we were trying to make sense of the different pieces and share with each other our opinions. Somehow, we were more captivated by the more vibrant and colourful pieces. Despite we having similar preferences for many things, we still differ for our preference of art pieces - I liked a red, black and gold piece which was extremely eye-catching from afar; Ah Peng preferred the painting of a vase which was very life-like.

Next was the favourite haunt of Ah Peng - Kinokuniya bookshop. Personally, I still felt that she was the most cultured person among my friends with her interests in books and art. We were looking at some "for-the-soul" kind of books. Some were cute with many pictures. Some led us to a penny for thoughts with the anecdotes. One has even attempted to rationalise why one could never be friends with your ex.

It was definitely an usual gathering, ie the activities we were doing were vastly different from the usual shopping and dining.
