My boss decided to generate some team building and invited the whole unit for lunch yesterday. This included 2 teams, with a total of 15 people, reporting to our big boss - our team which has 5 senior officers, 3 junior officers and my boss and the other team which has 3 senior officers and 3 junior officers. In the end, our big boss flew aeroplane on us as he had a meeting in early afternoon.
It was a hot afternoon and Swensen's aircon seemed not to be working. I tried the grilled fish sambal executive lunch set yesterday and highly recommended it. The set included a soup of the day, main course (the grilled fish sambal for me, you can choose from a variety of pastas and main courses), a beverage (tea, coffee or soft drink) and a dessert (ice cream lined with sponge cake). It was a filling course. Those who happened to work near Swensen's outlet or who happened to drop by Swensen on a weekday lunch should give it a try. We took about 2 hours to finish our lunch. Ooops! We overshot our lunch hour severely.
Thought this team building lunch was a good idea for everyone to get to know each other better in a more relaxed ambience. Kudos to my boss for coming up with this fantastic idea. We should have it more often. *Hint, hint*.
