Suki Sushi was the latest Japanese restaurants to be opened in Ang Mo Kio. In celebration of its opening, it gave promotion on its ala carte menu of 40%. My mum, my sister and I headed down to Suki Sushi to try out this new Japanese restaurant on Tuesday.
The queue was long. Many could have been drawn to this restaurant because of its attractive promotion. We tried out its paper steamboat, an assortment of sushi, chawanmushi (steamed egg), teriyaki tako (teriyaki-sauced grilled squid) and fried tofu.
My favourite were the paper steamboat and teriyaki tako. The salmon slices in the paper steamboat were thick but soft and the soup was clear but tasteful. The teriyaki tako was soft but chewy. As one chewed, the sweetness of the squid mixed with the saltiness of the teriyaki sauce was heavenly.
It was a satisfactory dinner. We would be sure to come back more often to try its other dishes.
