Noise Level in MRT

I never really noticed how noisy the train cabin was until today. I was listening to my MP3 when I realised I could not hear naything because the music was submerged the conversations of the passengers and the movement of the train on the rail. I had to turn up the volume to almost maximum in order to make out some music.

The ear pieces were next to my ear drums while the noise in the train cabin was some distance away. Yet, the sound level of the noise in the cabin had overtaken the MP3 music.

It was no wonder that we seemed to be getting deafer and deafer at a younger age. Maybe we should start a campaign on how to maintain the noise level in the train cabin down as part of the Courtesy Campaign.
