We decided to have an early Mother’s Day celebration in order to avoid the crowd expected of next weekend.
We proposed to have a different cuisine this year after years of going to a Chinese restaurant. We brought our mum to the Waraku at Central for Kaminabe (Paper Steamboat) – one of Waraku’s signature dishes.
We were shown to the window seats where we had a paranomic view of Singapore River and the opposite Clark Quay. We ordered a Nihotate Kaminabe (Scallop Paper Steamboat), Okonomiyaki (Grilled Octopus Pancake), Udon and Grilled Chicken set.
It was a refreshing change for her. We certainly hope she had enjoyed herself.
