We had a mini surprise celebration of our boss’s birthday in office today.
One of my colleagues went to BreadTalk to get a chocolate cake. It was yummy with a rich chocolate taste.
We had wanted a surprise birthday for her and invited her to the meeting room for 'discussion'. However, she saw us taking out the cake and our cover was blown off. My other boss took out the coke which has ‘resided’ in his fridge for a few months (left over from one of late budget meetings when we ordered from Pizza Hut) and we cheered with coke instead of alcohol.
While we ate the cake and shared the ‘left-over’ coke, my boss appeared touched by our little gesture. Unfortunately, although it was her birthday, she still did not manage to knock off on time. :-(
