We were admiring the photos that we have taken in Taiwan, Bangkok and China last night. Yes! Finally we have developed the photos, including Taiwan’s which were taken 2 years ago.
Shortly before we departed for China, my sister had attempted to copy the photos previously stored in her SD card to a CD, so as to ‘make space’ for new photos in China. For whatever reason, the CD became corrupted and all the photos were lost.
We were terribly upset, especially the loss of the Taiwan photos. It was such bad news to receive just on the eve of next trip. It has been a memorable trip in Taiwan. Even if we revisit Taiwan in future, the feelings, the sights and experiences will definitely be different. Hence, we will not be able to replicate the exact photos.
Fortunately, one of her friends had managed to salvage the SD card and retrieve the deleted photos. Alas, we could still have those memories. To prevent the recurrence of the above scare, we have decided to develop the photos soonest possible when we came back to Singapore.
Looking at those photos brought back nice memories of our previous trips. We were amazed then at the natural beauties, the varied culture and the rich history of these countries. We remained amazed now as we looked at the photos.
The best souvenirs from any vacation are still the memories and photos. :-)
