Open Door Policy

Fear not, this is not going to be a lecture about some economic policy about improving competition. This is an after-thought from Princess Hours.

What?!?! Again?!?! Even if you are getting sick of hearing that 2 words, do bear with me again. *Sheepish Grin*

Xin seemed to start loving Caijing. Just as he was about to open his heart for Caijing, Caijing has decided that she was too tired of persisting her love for Xin. At this critical juncture, she wanted to turn away.

This reminded me of "open door policy" which I vaguely recalled I was commenting on sometime ago in a friend's blog. Caijing has been waiting outside the "door" of Xin's heart for some time, but Xin refused to open the door. Now that Xin has finally made up his mind to welcome Caijing, she has already given up waiting and went into another door. Perhaps knowing that Caijing has been outside, Xin should have opened the door earlier.

Moral of the story?
1) One should open the door when there is a knock in order not to miss any opportunity. Do not wait too long because the knocker may just walk away.
2) Waiting outside the door for a long time after knocking can be a very tiring experience. When the door refuses to open, perhaps it is time to knock on another.

This applies for all opportunities that come along, be it career, interest, self-development or even relationship related. Grab it when it comes before it slips away. Move on when it is no longer within your grasp.
