The view from Victoria Peak was well-known around the world. Standing at the peak, one could view the breathtaking city landscape of the Hong Kong island from Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Causeway Bay to Wan Chai. On a clear day, we could also see the view across Victoria Harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui. Unfortunately, the polluted air of Hong Kong meant that a fog constantly veiled the upper skies and blurred the view.
You could also enjoy the view from Stubbs Road which was midway up Victoria Peak, there were pavilions shaped like mushroom for one to take a break. For those of you who were lovers of Hong Kong drama, you would find these ‘mushroom pavilions’ featured in many scenes of the Hong Kong drama.
Take a rest at these pavilions if you were tired from standing around.
