There were 2 flights of stairs leading to the entrance of the reception. The area where the cocktails were served was cosy so that the bride and the bridegroom could mingle and catch-up with friends and relatives. Melodious singing from the Atrium Lounge below enhanced the relaxed ambience. One could even admire the singing ensemble by standing near the edge of the cocktail area.
The groom looked handsome in a dark suit. The bride radiated the glow of a happy woman.
It was the wedding dinner of Mich - my ex-colleague.
In addition to the romantic setting and ambience, the food was pretty unique. The cold dish was served with a short dance by the crew, ie they were holding the dish and dancing to the music before serving the dishes to each table. Instead of having Peking Duck or herbal duck, smoked tea duck wrapped in sweet pancakes was served instead. We were also pretty delighted by the dessert - ice-cream with mango sago. This was certainly a refreshing change from the usual yam paste or longan almond jelly.
The parents looked proud that the dinner was a success and that they have gained both a son and a daughter. The couple looked happily in love.
