Tall vs Short

Do you always feel inferior or awkard about your height? Don't be, because tall people are intelligent and short people are smart. *Smile*

The above statement was meant to be an ice-breaker at the EQ seminar. When the trainer paired us up and wanted us to decide among ourselves who was the more intelligent person, we could not decide. Being Asians, it was already not in our culture to fight to be the more intelligent person. Moreover, intelligence could come in different aspects. It was tough to assess and conclude who outshine the other for intelligence. The trainer then told us that the taller one was the intelligent one while the shorter one was the smarter one. Thereafter, he went on to support this observation with real life examples.

It was meant to bring a smile to our face, but the message was clear. Regardless of how tall or short you are, there will always be another person who is taller or shorter than you. Hence, there will always be another person who is more intelligent or smarter than you. It is important to keep an open mind so that you can always learn from the next person who is either more intelligent or smarter than you.
