If you pass by Somerset MRT on weekday morning, you will not fail to notice her charming smile and chirpy greeting. She lightens your morning with the latest news for the day and her “Good Morning”. She is the epitome of someone who has a passion to serve.
For many who are handing out free papers or brochures, they often bear a look of death – black, somber and unsmiling. Contrary to the former, she puts on a radiant smile, greets everyone with a cheery “Good morning” and thanks anyone who takes the Mypaper from her. For the occasional non-Chinese who takes paper from her thinking that it is Today, she will even tell them it is a Chinese paper.
She motivates the morning crowd to face the day with new energy and to take pride in the work we do. I strive to look towards the new day with as much enthusiasm as her.
