In celebration of the National Day, SSO will be holding 2 free concerts. The first was held at the Vivocity amphitheatre last night.
Crowds gathered at the amphitheatre long before the start of the concert. When we reached half an hour before the start of the concert, the seats were all taken up. We could only stand behind.
Familiar tunes from Carmen, Midsummer Night’s Dreams and even a medley of the local tunes of Home and Chan Mali Chan reverberated throughout the rooftop of Vivocity. Many members of the audience tapped their feet along with the familiar melodies. The Solo performance of Violinist – See Ian Ike captivated the crowd as he delivered Carmen.
Who says Singaporeans are not supportive of the Arts and Music? The strong crowd at the SSO concert has already proven the statement wrong. *Grin*
