Lo Hei Session with Colleagues

Just before lunch, L suddenly sent an email to everyone to ask for suggestion for our Lo Hei session. Someone suggested going to Teochew City Restaurant. There were several Lunar New Year set promotions, but eventually we decided to forego the set and went for dim sums plus Yu Sheng instead.

The meal was a filling one with Siew Mai, prawn dumplings, mango-shrimp spring rolls, carrot cakes and fried shrimps. We also had fried garlic Kai Lan and Ee-fu noodle.

During the 2-hour lunch, we talked about diamond rings (L recently got a big ring from her boyfriend), buying flats and dim sums. L shared that our big big boss recently had a 1.22 carat diamond ring, but our big big big boss got a 4-carat ring. Wow, 4 carat! The ring would be bigger than the diameter of her finger. We also chit chatted about buying flats, especially some of the risks of buying resale flats and the considerations. The bone of contention was to live or not to live with the in-laws and its pros and cons.

With this Lo Hei session, Lunar New Year celebration is also coming to an end soon after the 15th on Sunday.
