There is a lotus pond in the Ang Mo Kio Garden. The garden can be easily seen when one is standing at the entrance of the National Library (Ang Mo Kio) Branch. When the lotus flowers are in full bloom, the pond look magnificent.
Last Sunday, on the way back from McDonalds' breakfast, we saw some of the blooming flowers and took our camera to take a few shots.

When I did a google on lotus, there seemed to many species of lotus. The ones in the pictures have a flower name of Nelumbo nucifera. They are commonly known as blue lily, water lily and sacred lily and can be found in Asia and Australia.
Another piece of knowledge and a priceless sight.
