To some of my colleagues, it is a piece of good news because they were not keen in the first place. To me, it was bad news because I was looking forward to the Malacca trip. Firstly, I have not been to Malacca for a long time. Secondly, who doesn’t want a free holiday during working hours?
We have to stay put to help with writing UAT scripts for the new budget system. Initially, it was meant to be a couple of people (me included). However, I think the bosses wanted to institute some sort of equity. Thus, the whole team stayed behind. Equal misery.
My next issue is how to break the news to CY. Will she be upset that she may not have a roommate or that she will be allocated a stranger as roommate?
